On October 2, 2014 Ripon High’s soccer teams versed Riverbank’s soccer teams. The junior varsity teams and the varsity teams played in Ripon on Ripon High’s soccer field. The junior varsity game began at 4 pm. Junior varsity lost 0-3 unfortunately, but I spoke to one of the junior varsity players who explains it.
Adam Lawlor said, “The first half of the game was rough, they scored 3 goals to start off with, but the second half we stepped up our game and held them off. if we played the whole game like we did in the second half we could have definitely won.”
Ripon High’s varsity soccer game began at 6 pm, and varsity won 7-1! Excited and relieved I spoke to Noah Lehmann and he gave me the quote, ” Pain is part of the game.” he hurt his ankle, but managed to hustle through the game and score 4 goals!
Ripon High’s next soccer game is October 7th. Come support our school’s soccer team! go Ripon Indians!
