    Going the Distance

     

    The cross country team held their second meet last Saturday at Lagoon Valley in Vacaville. The team’s highest overall score was placed in the 3-mile Varsity girls run, where they got 4th out of 12 schools.  The schools ahead of them were Rio Americano, El Camino, and Piner.

    Their second best placing was in the 3-mile Varsity boys run, placing 8th out of 21. The 2-mile JV boys also got a placing of 14th out of 22. The 2-mile JV girls didn’t place, the girls who ran were Jasleen Herrera with a time of 19:02, Bailey Joachim 17:41, Taylor Werner 19:14, and Maddie Wilkins with 19:28. The Freshmen boys placed 12th of 16. Freshmen girls didn’t place.
