    Dodgers Take NL West

In a heated race in who will take the National League West, the Dodgers came out on top of the San Francisco Giants on Sunday, September 24. In their game against the Colorado Rockies, the Dodgers had a very memorable performance.

It was the Dodgers long time announcer, Vin Scully’s last home game of his announcing career. Vin has been a memorable voice throughout the league for 67 years, even since the Dodgers were in Brooklyn.

As the game went on, Dodgers fans began to get anxious as their team was trailing by one, with the score 3-2 in the ninth inning. Dodger Stadium was filled with anxious fans as the game came to it’s last out, with rookie shortstop Corey Seager up at the plate. He went up to bat, and the perfect scenario ensued.

Corey Seager blasted a home run that would take the Dodgers into extra innings. The game ended in the bottom of the 10th inning when Charlie Culberson hit a walkoff home run to lead the Dodgers to the postseason. It wasn’t only a memorable game because of their win, but Vin Scully got to announce his last home game, with a walkoff home run.img_4249_los_angeles_dodgers_players
