Isaiah Thompson is a Junior who has had quite an adventure over the past few years.

Thompson regularly participates in trips organized by Students International, an organization focused on spreading Christianity to the people of third world countries.

“The last trip I went on was to the Dominican Republic, where I got to stay with a physical therapist,” Thompson said, “I left on October 7th and got back October 18th.”

The organization gives career opportunities to students, alongside the ministry they do.

“We do occupationally specific ministry that correlates with career, academic, or personal interests of the participant,” as is said on the Students International website.

Thompson also goes to Mexico every March with Students International. There, they worked with kids through vacation bible school. Thompson says that he has enjoyed the trips he has been on, and foresees himself going on more if given the opportunity.

“It’s good to get out of your comfort zone and experience other cultures,” Thompson said, “We are privileged to live in America.”
