Win Against Downey

Last Thursday Ripon High girls had their first basketball game with all three teams, Freshman, JV, and Varsity, playing against Downey High.

The Freshman team played first winning 35-28. JV played a close game catching up in the last three minutes. The game ended up being tied. With 3.01 seconds on the clock, Rebecca McConahay was fouled and completed both of her free-throws successfully. During the game, Freshman Mia Culver hurt her leg, and was benched for a few minutes. She made a quick come back and helped score her team to victory. The final score was 37-35 Ripon. The Varsity team beat Downey 47-30 in an easy win.

Their next game will be on December 7, 2016 against Johansen High, an away game. Come watch our girls basketball team, and show our spirit.
