Ripon XC Races Hard on Section Course

All of the cross country team groups ran this past Saturday at the Bronco Invitational at Folsom High School, the same course as the section finals course.  All runners did great, especially for the level of difficulty this course is, with heat, dust, and of course, lots of hills.  Racing with schools of all kinds of divisions, Varsity boys took 9th overall, but 2nd for D4 schools.  Varsity girls took 5th overall in their race, Jv guys took 12th, Jv girls took 10th, and freshmen guys took 5th. Everyone proved they could run any course despite the difficulty and proved that they can all stand up to larger, stronger schools.

Only two races remain in the regular Cross Country season; TVL Finals next Wednesday, and the subsection meet on Nov. 9th.  The XC looks to have great chances of advancing and making it to state, but only the upcoming races will.  Both varsity teams have the chance to prove they have what it takes to make it to state finals, and beat Riverbank and Hughson, the only two XC teams that have done better at TVL this season.
