Start Your Morning Off Good With Breakfast!

Breakfast, the most important meal of the day. But many people skip it. Why? Maybe because they think it will help them lose weight, or maybe it’s because they are in a hurry, or they just don’t feel like eating. In order to start your morning off good and healthy you need to eat breakfast and here are some reasons why. 

In an article written by Rush Stories, they stated, “When you eat breakfast you’re telling your body that there are plenty of calories to be had for the day. When you skip breakfast the message your body gets is that it needs to conserve rather than burn any incoming calories.” 

As a result, if you skip breakfast you are more likely to become overweight and more likely to consume unhealthy foods/ snacks. People who consume breakfast on a regular basis have increased physical activity and are less likely to be overweight than the people who don’t eat breakfast. 

For the people in a hurry here are some easy breakfast toast ideas. One recipe is Avocado toast with eggs. You top two lightly toasted slices of whole-grain bread with smashed avocado and a sprinkling of salt and pepper. Layer on one or two sunny-side-up eggs for a healthy dose of protein. Another easy toast recipe is nut butter, banana, and chia seed toast. Use sunflower seed butter (or your favorite seed or nut butter) and a sprinkling of whole raw chia seeds, which are packed with an amazing array of nutrients, then if you would like add some bananas.

Some recommend healthy breakfast choices are high-fiber cereal with fresh fruit and low-fat milk or soy or rice milk substitute, or a low-fat protein shake with fresh/frozen fruit. You can also have high-fiber toast or bagel with a tablespoon of peanut butter or a select protein bar and yogurt or a glass of milk.
