Vietnamese creator of Flappy Bird, Dong Nguyen pulled his famous App out of the App Store and Google Play February 8th. Dong was making a staggering $50,000 A DAY. The poor guy was receiving so many different types of comments on twitter and reviews that he couldn’t handle it anymore.
After pulling the game Dong received thousands of death threats and suicide threats. One woman in particular tweeted him a picture with a gun to her mouth saying, “If you delete Flappy Bird, I will shoot myself!”
App review site Apple’N’Apps reported the game was not voluntarily removed from the app store by Nguyen. Nintendo allegedly contacted Apple regarding the early Nintendo-like appearance of the game, claiming Apple was in violation of the Japanese company’s copyright.
Now, since the game has been deleted, iPhone’s that have Flappy Bird downloaded them are being sold on Ebay ranging in the prices of 1k-3k depending on the carrier and which iPhone it is (4s, 5, 5s, 5c)
