On Friday, August 25, Ripon High School had a “Fanny Pack Friday” spirit day. Students brought out their fanny packs with many cool designs and colors. There was even a contest for the coolest fanny pack picture.
“Fanny pack Friday was a fun spirit day, and it was actually pretty convenient to have one so I could keep my stuff in there.” junior Rebecca McConahay said.
For the Fanny Pack Friday contest, a picture was uploaded on the Ripon High’s ASB Instagram account stating the rules of Fanny Pack Friday contest. Students upload a picture of them with their fanny packs on their Instagram account with the hashtag “RHS Fanny Packs On Fleek” to be entered in the contest. The prize was a Ripon High School kukui nut necklace.
The winner of this contest was sophomore Sarah Machado. “I didn’t expect to win, but it was a cool thought that somebody actually liked my picture that much!” Machado said.
