Girl’s Golf Season Recap

The Ripon High School Girls’ Golf team had a very successful season this year. This season 12 girls made the team, resulting in five main players– Myra Toledo, Bianca Toledo, Maria Soto, Kassidy Isham, and Emily Harris.

One of the three sophomores on the team, Myra Toledo, placed 2nd in the division and went on to play in the Sac-Joaquin Section Masters Tournament.

“I was a little nervous, being the only player that went to masters,” said Myra Toledo.

When asked how she felt after receiving the news of her hard work paying off, she stated that, ‘It was hard because there was a lot of good girls from six different schools.” Although she hasn’t heard back on how she did in the tournament, Myra Toledo feels confident that she didn’t place last.

Her twin sister, Bianca Toledo, placed 4th in individuals while the whole team placed 3rd in their division. All players will be returning next season except for Senior, Emily Harris. For having an underclassman-heavy roster, the team was very successful all throughout, especially by placing 2nd at the end of the year tournament.

When asked about the season Coach Dambrosio stated, “It has been a great season and huge congratulations to Myra Toledo for making it to Masters this year.”
