Users have the option to turn off their audio, video, and even chat with people in the meeting. It is similar to Cisco Webex, Skype, or Facetime, but each one has distinct features and plans compared to the other. 

For the past few months, schools and universities have used the app so teachers can continue teaching students for the rest of the school year. It is quite helpful but when there is a low internet connection, it starts to lag or freeze. Zoom has also been great for families, who usually got together for birthdays or holidays, but weren’t able to recently. One person can host the meeting and the whole family could join and celebrate through their devices.
