It’s Fall Time; Break Out Those Spices

Fall is coming around the corner so we should break out those spices and start baking. There are many great desserts to make during fall but we all know the best desserts during this season are pumpkin and ones with lots of fall spices. We all want to bring in that autumn feeling so let’s do it by baking our favorite fall desserts.

Our first dessert is pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. These are super easy to make and all you need to do is mix in the dry ingredients and wet ingredients, they also don’t require baking that long. You can make these in about 50 minutes and it makes about 30 cookies. These cookies are so soft and have just the right amount of pumpkiny flavor and the autumn spices that will make you want to come back for more. They are best served warm and can bring in that amazing fall feeling.

“I thought these desserts were really good and festive. It would be fun to bake in the fall with family or friends, ” Jenna Shavdaul, Sophomore.

Our second dessert is pumpkin crunch. This recipe is a mix of an amazing pumpkin bottom with a crumbly top layer. It doesn’t require many ingredients but you will need to make time for it to cook and cool. This recipe calls for you to bake it for an hour and makes about 18 servings. You can also add pecans, ice cream, or whipped cream to the top if you are feeling fancy. This would be a great thing to bring to any fall gathering to bring a smile to everyone’s faces.

“Oh my gosh, they were so good I had my family all try them and everyone really liked them. My favorite was the cookies,” Kaitlyn Espinola, Sophomore.

Nothing is better on a crisp Autumn day than a spiced fall desert.  A pumpkin treat alongside some apple cider really sets the mood for the season.  It’s almost pumpkin time, so break out your cinnamon and get to baking.[sno-poll id=”12986″ result_color=”undefined” tile_color=”undefined” align=”left” background=”on” background_color=”” border=”all” border_color=”” border_size=”” shadow=”on”]
