Green Light or Red Light, everyone at RHS is excited for the new show on Netflix titled “The Squid Game”. It’s a simple and interesting show about 456 people who are in debt offered to play7 deadly games to win billions of dollars. This show is trending all over social media platforms such as Tik Tok, Instagram, Twitter, and Netflix being the #1 top show in all of the USA. Everyone is obsessed with all the characters like Kang Sae-byeok playing HoYeon Jung, Oh II-nam playing Yeong-su Oh, Joon-ho playing Wi Ha-joon, and more.
“My favorite characters are Abdul Ali and Joon-ho. I like Abdul Ali since he was a kind person which is the reason why he lost, he got betrayed by Cho Sang-Woo because he trusted him. I also like Joon-ho because he was able to find out the truth, plus he was part of one of the plot twists in the show with his brother.” said Emiliano Acosta, junior.
Throughout the show, there were 7 games that brought suspense to the viewers. The first game that was shown was called “Red light, Green Light”, “Honeycomb/Ppopgi”, “Tug of War”, “Marbles”, “Glass Stepping Stones”, and last but not least, the famous “Squid Game”.
“I would say my favorite game would be Glass Stepping Stones because it really showed what it is like to work under pressure and be challenged. I liked how Sae-Byeok was the last one in line because she had the chance to watch what everyone did before her so she had a good chance to win, which she did,” said Sheree Sousa, junior.
RHS students are recommending this show to all their friends and family members. Even on social media, there are memes or opinions videos about each individual game. Everyone around the world was excited when Bela Bajaria announced it was up to the director’s schedule and how he wants to proceed to make a season 2 of this Netflix show.
“I’d recommend this show to anyone 15 and older who likes suspenseful shows full of drama and even some horror (…) Definitely, a show that keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting and wanting to see what happens next,” said Abby Campos, junior.
