The Rock & Roll Club, a group founded in October of 2022, is a great way for students learn an instrument and talk with their peers about their interest in the music genre most commonly known as “Rock N’ Roll”. This week, Ripon High School hosted club rush week where students were invited to participate in dress up days and join new clubs or show off the clubs that they are currently in. The Rock & Roll Club was among these clubs and was proud to show off their attire and guitars on Monday’s rally as well.

Junior James Wilkins, the Vice president of Rock & Roll club, says that the club was created due to a shared love of rock among the current members. “We wanted to share that music and that love with the rest of the school so we can kind of introduce the student body to a new kind of music that they may have not heard before and maybe the people that already like that music and maybe didn’t have the chance to  show it can get that chance if they join our club…” Wilkins states.

Many clubs gather during Club Rush week, however the Rock & Roll club is the only club that specifically focuses on a music genre. This club is a wonderful way to branch out and make new friends whom have a similar music taste as you, possibly learn a new instrument, or even become involved in a new type of music scene and genre.
