Ripon Sober Grad

Ripon+Sober+Grad

Sober Grad is an organization run by parents and student ambassadors at Ripon High that works to keep students sober through fun activities. The primary purpose of Sober Grad is to plan Sober Grad Night. This fun night keeps all the kids together after graduation and plans many fun activities in order to keep them sober on a night when many drunk driving fatalities occur. Other than Sober Grad Night, though, there are also a few other activities and fundraisers the organization puts on to make money.

“My favorite activity, other than Sober Grad Night, would probably be the volleyball tournament we hold at the end of the year,” says Will Peters, senior Sober Grad ambassador.

The Sober Grad ambassadors have monthly meetings to help plan everything out and make the night the best it can possibly be. So far, they have raised around $30,000 through fundraisers that will be spent on Sober Grad Night to make it truly memorable.

“We have a bunch of ambassadors this year working hard to raise money for Sober Grad Night and plan fun activities for it. We all just hope to keep everyone safe and sober, and spend one last night together after graduating,” stated Peters.
