The seniors came out on top at the “night of nights” rally once again. The juniors were a close second, whereas freshmen and sophomores followed right behind.
It all started off with junior rally commissioners Elias Ramirez and Ricky Langenfeld introducing what the night rally would be all about. To get the crowd going they did a class contest of who could cheer the loudest. Shortly after, they welcomed the freshmen onto the field to start off the night with their impeccable Minions-themed dance. The energy was so high, all dancers were in sync, and the field was filled with many minions and great dance moves.
Aiyana Pamplona, freshman, states,
“I think the freshmen did really well for [it] being their first year doing it.”
There was nothing but awesome feedback for the freshmen.. Good job!
We said “poopaye” to our freshmen
and “aloha” to our sophomores. Their theme was Lilo and Stitch, and they were all dressed up as if in Hawaii with colorful leis around their necks and patterned shirts.
“It was fun,” sophomore Ethan Sousa states. “I think people should try it out next year.”
Once the sophomores were done with
their performance, the juniors were up next to display their Liv and Maddie-themed dance. They introduced their dance with multiple throwback TV shows. The girls wore pink metallic shorts with white shirts and the boys wore basketball outfits.
“I think we did really
good and our class was in sync,” junior Kennedy Winter states.
Great job juniors!
Lastly, the seniors were up and showed the staff and students the dance they had been practicing for. Their theme was High School Musical. They were all dressed with basketball gear. They ended the dance by throwing their caps up to symbolize their graduation. It was a memorable moment for our class of 2024.
“I was nervous because I can’t
dance,” says Dawson Downs, senior. “ I just told myself that I was not up there alone and everyone else is dancing.”
Natalie Becerra, senior, adds, “I think the seniors did really well. We were working on it for a long time so I am glad we won.”
Once all classes were done performing,
the judges needed some time to announce the winner. In the meantime Ramirez hosted a game that consisted of two teams of different grade levels. Each member got a number and when your number was called you would have to run and get the water bottle that was in the center of the field.
A little later the judges had the final score and resulted in seniors first, juniors second, freshmen third, and sophomores fourth.
Jill Mortenson, leadership teacher, and Elias Ramirez announced the winners.
Overall, this was a successful, cheerful night. Good job to all the talented students!
