In a heart-wrenching clash under the Friday night lights, our Ripon High Indians faced a bitter defeat against Ecalon. Emotions were high on both sides of the ball even up in the stands for both high schools. The setting of the game was electric and the stakes were high.
The final score of the night was 7-40 with Ripon receiving a total of 100 yards passing and a total of 53 for rushing making 153 total yards. On the defensive side Ripon struggled to stop Escalons offense. On the offensive side of the ball, we had been shut down multiple times by the defense only scoring once during the 2nd half, and that was by a kickoff return by Nathan Gaines.
“Last friday we knew coming into this game it was going to be a tough week in hopes to make playoffs, we just had to play as a team…” going towards the last game against ending off the regular open season going into playoffs is questionable, “It’s very possible…” There’s room to grow and wide open doors for Ripon to Explore going in this week.
