Recently, Girls Golf’s season came to an end with a strong finish. Girls Golf competed in the CIF SJS Division V on Oct. 23 at Manteca Golf Course. The collective team score was 533, three strokes behind the first place team, Argonaut. Seniors Aaliyah Martinez (93), Katie Martin (91), Anna Fisher (116), juniors Sienna Pimentel (115), and Kennedy Winter (118) contributed to the collective score. Unfortunately, the team did not move on, but players Martinez and Martin moved on to Masters individually.
This tournament was the last for Fisher and, like many other seniors, she felt sentimental about leaving golf. “[I’m going to miss] the friendships, the van rides, and being made fun of by coach […],” explains Fisher. Her final thoughts about the overall season were, “As a team, we bonded really well [..] and it was a good group of girls this year. [The] younger girls put in the work and [they] really showed up.”
It was a tough day out on the course, but the team fought hard and put up an amazing fight. This season, the Lady Indians stayed undefeated until the bitter end and we can’t wait to see what they’ll bring us next season!
