Owen Curtis, a senior at Ripon High has officially signed on Nov. 10, committing to Biola University. Curtis has committed for water polo, a sport he has been playing for three years now, and is very excited to continue his career on a Division Two team next year.
When asked why Curtis wanted to continue to play in the future, he said, “I just have a lot of fun playing it and I always wanted to play a sport in college.” He gets to live out his dream of continuing his sport at a great university. Biola University is a nationally ranked, private, Christian university located in Southern California founded in 1908.
Biola lifted a weight off of his shoulders since his commitment, no longer having to worry about college applications, deciding where to go, and figuring out where a good water polo program was, which is very nice.
“I feel very relieved of my stress and I’m just excited I get to play water polo at Biola University in the future,” stated Curtis.
We are so proud of our hard-working students and athletes and are so happy for you, we wish you the best of luck in college!
