Dangers of Fentanyl

Dangers+of+Fentanyl

The number one death for high school teenagers in America is fentanyl. Recently on Jan. 26, RHS students were given a presentation from the district attorney about what fentanyl is and how it can severely affect someone. The students learned plenty about the effects and uses of fentanyl and the strategies to get others to ingest fentanyl.

Junior Teo West, one of the many students in the audience, asked some curious questions. His uncle is a cop and West vaguely knows about the uses and effects of drugs from the stories he has been told, which made him a lot more curious to listen to the presentation and ask questions.

This presentation helped inform students about the dangers of these drugs and to stay as far away from them as possible.

West’s takeaway from the assembly was, “Don’t do drugs.”
