At RHS there is a whole team of people who are supporting you. Aside from your parents and teachers, the Ripon High Booster Club is here to help you! A booster club is a team of parents dedicated to subsidize curricular and extracurricular activities for the students and staff. As far as the fundraisers go, the booster club has had many successful events in the past including selling Poinsettias, silent auctions, Carl’s Jr. fundraisers, Round table events, Chipotle fundraisers, and working recycling hours.
The money raised from these fundraisers has provided enough money to support major goals. When asked what goals the booster club has accomplished this year, Andrea McKeon Co Booster President, , “Purchased reading materials for Spanish department, supported leadership with multiple requests, largest being sending them to a training conference, environmental advocacy club trip to Monterey, multiple club activities,” says Andrea McKeon Co booster President, when asked what goals the booster club has accomplished this year. Mckeon continues,”assisted with RHS counseling career day, state testing tacos for students, SuperFan support with giveaways and paid for a platform for social media to assist in collaboration with journalism, yearbook, teacher appreciation week, journalism class, and 4 boards for the classrooms was our biggest purchase this year to date.”
Many of the things that you and your teachers use everyday in the classroom is there because of the booster club.
Being able to support your education is the primary purpose of the booster club, as explained by McKeon, “Primary objective and purpose of RHS Boosters is to provide educational and charitable support for the students and staff. Create a relationship between students, parents, faculty and community all while providing necessary educational assistance for students and teachers.” However, the booster club can not provide support without your donation towards fundraisers. The last fundraiser for the booster club was at Mountain Mike’s on Jan. 26. Thank you to those who supported the booster club, and thank you Ripon High Booster Club!
