CSF is the California Scholarship Federation and its purpose is to recognize the academic achievements of students. There is a system in which students fill out a form that allows them to become a part of the club. When you’re sent the form in your email, you qualify for the program!
CSF president senior Jenna Skavdahl explains, “CSF is important because it looks great on college applications. Also, if you apply every time, you can get a gold cord at graduation!”
When joining CSF, there are many opportunities within the club, even being in the club can give you multiple opportunities throughout your high school career. Skavdahl says, “The club is also very fun and allows people to participate in club activities and field trips.” Although CSF is heavily dependent on academic achievements, there’s always room for fun within the club. The club goes on field trips to college campuses. For example, in 2019, CSF went to the University of California in Berkeley.
CSF is a great opportunity for our students to be recognized for their academic achievements, especially when getting ready to further their education after their time at Ripon High!
