The RHS Boys varsity basketball team started February off strong, with a win against Hughson. The boys have had an incredible season with winning streaks as high as ten, and they continue to be getting better.
As of Feb., 2 2024, the Ripon High boys varsity basketball team beat Hughson with a score of 76-69. This leads the Ripon High boys varsity basketball team to get their fifth win in a row after a defeat against Ripon Christian. This game could have been a lot easier for the boys, though.
Ty Herrin agrees, “If we could just not take every game or whatever opponent we play (lightly) and just come in with a really locked in mindset, I feel like we’ll play together as a team and have easier wins.”
However, this doesn’t mean it was a bad game. They won against Hughson with a score of 76-69, which is the most they have ever scored this season since their game against Delhi on Dec., 28! If Ripon High boys varsity wants to win against Ripon Christian in their last game of the season, they will have to come out ready for anything, and do whatever it takes to win.
