Boys golf swung into victory at their most recent Trans Valley League (TVL) match against multiple opponents such as Escalon. They competed Apr. 11, and their impressive collective score was 408. Each player brought an amazing score for the team: seniors Jeremie Little (78), William Peters (97), Ty Herrin (96), Marcus Atienza (81), junior Vincent Uecker (77), and sophomore Richie Hughes (76). It’s safe to say that was an easy win for the team.
Hughes had the lowest score out of all of the players that participated in the match. His highlight of the game was his shorter game and made it into the holes strategically and effectively. His thoughts about the team’s overall performance was, “I think we all did pretty good. We had two that kind of struggled, but it was a hard course, so it was understandable.”
Currently, they stand at the top within the TVL. We can’t wait to see the team’s progress for the remainder of their well-awaited season!
