The Red Cross Club is one of the more well-known clubs on the Ripon High campus. While it is a known club, not many people know what the club is really about! The club’s purpose is to teach students about disaster preparedness, blood donations, and to help spread awareness about community volunteering and events.
The club president, Senior Gabby Melgarejo, explains, “My favorite part of the club is the planning and getting to know all the club members while being able to talk about future events.”
Currently, the club is getting the upcoming officers ready for the upcoming school year. The Red Cross is already preparing for a 2024-25 school year! Melgarejo states, “It’s really fun because there’s a lot of great minds within the club, and it’s great to be able to connect with them and help them learn more about the Red Cross, and help them love it as much as us returning members do!”
The Red Cross Club is a great way to get involved with peers and connect with others on campus and to learn about awareness, disaster preparedness, blood donations, and volunteering.
