Boys Varsity Golf ended their undefeated season with a strong drive and strategic putts as Trans Valley League Champions. On Apr. 30, the Indians competed in the Division Five TVL End of the Year Tournament against various schools like Escalon and Hughson. Their collective score, which gave them the victory, was an impressive 391. For reference for how amazing they did, the second team, Hughson, got a collective score of 456. The players that contributed to this score were seniors Jeremie Little (75), Ty Herrin (84), Marcus Atienza (80), William Peters (85), junior Vincent Uecker (73), and sophomore Richie Hughes (79).
Little had one of the lowest scores in the tournament. Little’s thoughts were, “My overall performance was pretty good and I did hurt myself a little bit. So, it was a struggle, but I got through it.” He was proud of his team, but briefly mentioned how the seniors of the team were a little bummed out about missing Senior Ditch Day. Despite this, everyone still had tons of fun.
Because of their victory, the boys get to move on to Divisionals next week on May 6. Let’s wish the boys the best of luck!
