Kicking off the year with the annual event Back to School Night, many parents came to Ripon High on Wed., Aug. 21, to walk through their child’s classes. Link Crew Leaders made up of juniors and seniors helped the parents around the school so they could experience the wonderful Ripon High atmosphere!
“I think it was a great way for parents to understand what everyday life looks like for their kids at school,” states Link Leader, senior Kennedy Winter.
The rest of the Link Crew members were able to socialize with each other while they waited during periods. Seniors Isaiah Hernandez, Mateo Elisary, and Aj Rivera took advantage of their free time to talk, before jumping right back into action and helping parents to their classes.
“It was fun to meet the parents,” Mr. Tyler, one of the many math teachers, states. A lot of work goes into preparing a presentation for the families before Back to School Night. Tyler spent around 12 hours on campus that night, making sure he was prepared for the event and the following school day.
All the work that was put into the event was worth the effort and the event went off without a hitch!
