Freshmen football has been showing outstanding talent and dedication on the field. This 2024-2025 school year, the Freshmen football team started off the season with two wins in a row. The team has been seeing drastic skills, and it is very inspiring to see a very united team. Football is a very coordinated sport and it takes a lot of communication and teamwork to win. All these boys play their part to get yards and touchdowns. The future for this season is looking bright.
The team recently faced Enochs, and won 46-0. The game was very interesting and Enochs put up a fight although the Ripon Indians took the win! The game overall was suspenseful but our freshmen team came out and showed up!
Starting running back, freshman Chris Alfaro, explained that his favorite thing about football is “The team and coaches because we all work together.” This football season has barely begun and we can already see the unity and the bonding the team has, which is a very huge aspect to the wins they have achieved. Something that seems to be a common denominator with helping the team tune into the game, is music before the game. The football team uses music to help them prepare for the game and when Alfaro was asked his thoughts about it he says it “hypes them up.”
The dedication does not go unseen and it is refreshing to see that they stay motivated and continue to give it their all. Another player, freshman Gavin Duran stated “I hate losing more than I like winning” and this is the motto that keeps him motivated. During the recent Ripon vs. Enochs game Duran suffered an injury, however he is continuing to show his support for the team and the team continues to show him support from the field. It goes to further show that these boys have a positive attitude and mindset that is going to only help them even more to go undefeated this season!
This 2024-2025 freshmen football season has started off strong and it will hopefully continue to stay that way!
