As the 2024-2025 school year begins, teachers and students come and go. New teachers settle into their classrooms and get ready to meet their new students. This year at Ripon High we have a group of new teachers, one of those teachers being Ms. Weaver!
This is Weaver’s second year of teaching, but her first year teaching at Ripon High as a Math II and Math B teacher. She’s excited to be a part of the staff here at Ripon High, and is thrilled to teach and connect with her new students.
Weaver began recognizing her love for teaching math when she became a tutor at East Union High School. Weaver explains, “My goals are not only to get students to pass the class, but to get everyone to actually understand the material.” As a new teacher, Weaver wants to be able to present a welcoming environment to students to help them develop a better understanding of the subject.
Weaver is inspired by her students because she admires how her students always end up persevering throughout their high school years. Whether they’re having a hard day, having a hard time understanding material, she feels inspired that her students are always here and trying their best.
When coming into Ripon High, it’s obvious that the students and staff have a lot of spirit! It has been found that Ms. Weaver enjoys watching the school come together with spirit days and rallies!
A positive and welcoming mindset is important to have as a teacher. Ms. Weaver fills that requirement completely! She wants her students to succeed and be able to use the material learned in the classroom later in their high school years, and later in life.
Welcome to RHS Ms. Weaver!
