The Ripon High Girls Varsity Golf team has been having a great season so far, with no signs of slowing down!
This year, the girls got a new coaching staff. While this is a big change the girls adapted quickly and have been able to create a great 3-1 season so far.
The girls played Orestimba at Jack Tone Golf Course. This is the second time the girls have played Orestimba, and they have beaten them both times. In their first outing, Ripon won with a score of 166-201, in their most recent game on Oct. 2, 2024, the girls dominated once again with another victory 170-226.
Senior Sienna Pimentel has been leading the charge for the girls and had this to say about their performance on the second.
“My team and I did really really well yesterday. We did get the win by 56 strokes against the other team, so I feel that that’s a pretty good win. I’m also really proud of [sophomore] Brynn Daley and [freshman] Eve Toledo because they scored in the 40’s for the first time yesterday and got really good scores.”
The team has already established dominance in their league, and with their hard work and dedication to the game, there is no doubt that these girls will have a great season!
