With a new school year comes all the new clubs! At RHS there are a lot of opportunities for students to join clubs or create them. Recently, we’ve added a baking club to the list. This club gives students a chance to improve their baking skills and teaches them things they’re going to use outside of school. Vice president of the club , Emme Wilbur states,
“The club is going good, there’s a lot of participation and I think we just need to crack down on what we’re actually going to be baking and organizing the time.”
Although this club is new, it already has a great number of members. The club is already going places! They have many goals and plans set for the future. President of the club Sophie Cockriel states,
“I hopes that people who love baking join, or if they have never tried baking grow to love it because of the club”
Another thing Cockriel wanted to mention was,
“Some of our plans for the future are to bake cookies for the teachers, we’re also looking forward to having a bake sale during the fall, with fall themed treats, and possibly going to pie a senior.”
When interviewing Wilbur and Cockriel, we have come to learn that there are many opportunities to get involved and learn new skills with baking inside this club, such as high hopes for the fall bake sale and more to come. The girls have big ideas for this club because of the fats numbers they have gained, with already 100 members!
