Girls basketball, one of many Ripon High’s winter sports, has begun their season and we are excited to see them show their abilities on the court. Currently, our Lady Indians are in their preseason training and they are using this time to improve.
Ripon Highs varsity girls basketball team is a dedicated group of girls who want to show they are a successful team. This year, the team has a handful of seniors: Leilah Sanchez, Tatiana Perez, Chloe Latenslauger, Ava Vanderwerff, Danika Escola, and Ximena Del Toro. Currently, the girls basketball team are completing their preseason games, taking this time to work out the flaws that may occur on the court.
For the team’s improvement, varsity captain Leilah Sanchez, has some ideas. “ Our team does really well moving the ball around and I feel like once we play as a team and we connect our defense we will be even better.” Sanchez seems to have faith in her fellow teammates and is confident that they wil succeed in their upcoming season.
These girls will continue on their season in the next coming months and we hope to see our students come out to watch these girls compete. Keep working hard Lady Indians!
