For most freshmen athletes, they are usually placed in Freshman/Frosh, or even sometimes placed in the Junior Varsity team. Freshman, Isaac Ramos was selected to be one of the

athletes that had proven themselves good enough to play with the Varsity team.

“I have been playing the sport for 8 years, Said Ramos, “ I also play for a competitive team in Modesto called Ajax”. 

The varsity team is usually made up of upperclassmen that have had experience with the program and the game. With 8 years of hard work and dedication Ramos was able to show that he is capable of playing at that high level of intensity.

Even though Ramos is very focused on his personal improvement, he is also motivated by his peers and coaches. Ramos said, ” One person in particular that motivates me to play my hardest is my Coach Rio. All my teammates also motivate me to play my hardest each game.”

Starting out on the Varsity team as a freshman is a huge steppingstone for his high school soccer journey. As of right now, Isaac Ramos has great potential to have the rest of his high school soccer career extremely successful.
