As we kick off the month of May, ASB rolls out its monthly tradition. Two ASB students of the month were revealed. The highlighted students this month are sophomore Chris Armanious and junior Jayden Poms.
Armanious is a very active student here at Ripon High. He is the leader of the Ripon High Soccer Club. As the leader of this club, he organizes pickup soccer games and watch parties for professional teams! He also participates in leadership groups like Sober Grad as an ambassador. Athletically, he is a player for the Varsity soccer team.
“Soccer has always been one of the most important things in my life” states Armanious. “One of the most calming things after a stressful day is going down to the field and practicing my skills.”
“I mean, I am very appreciative to receive something like this. I was very surprised when I had found out I was chosen,” Armanious explained when asked about what it means to be named Student of the month.
Poms is a very busy student as well. She is a member of FFA here at RHS. FFA participates in agricultural activities mainly. Poms has many hobbies outside of school as well. Her favorite things to do are driving around, hanging out with friends, and reading literature. Her favorite class here at RHS is sports medicine with Mr. C.
“I really like sports med, we do a lot of things there that are super fun.”
When asked how it felt to be picked as student of the month Poms stated, “It feels awesome. I didn’t expect to get picked so it was pretty surprising.”
Congratulations to Chris Armanious and Jayden Poms for being named students of the month!
