Have you ever just wanted one night to dance your heart out? Well, that’s what Ripon High held on Saturday, August 30, as Ripon High held its annual BTSD (Back to School Dance) in the Mub! It was filled with colorful lights all over the dance zone!
The dance floor had students and even some of the faculty advisors boogie down to the groove of things. The DJ even featured flame projectors on both sides of the stage to hype up the students on the dance floor. The dance was filled with so many people in sporting attire as students dressed up in bright and neon clothes to stand out in the crowd and blacklight, even Mrs. Mortensen had her swag on!
With the dance inviting many to boogie woogie, Beshoy Danial stated that “ My favorite part of the dance is how inclusive the people were; everyone would be in circles and dance with each other.” With everyone dancing the night away, it led to very memorable moments. When asked about the atmosphere in the M.U.B., senior Cade Fullmer said that “The atmosphere of the dance was a little more light-hearted than other dances. There was a decent number of people that came, and the atmosphere really was about just having fun and dancing with other people.”
When asked about what advice he would give to somebody who skipped out on the dance this year, Cade had this to say “I would tell people who skipped the dance to just show up. It’s more fun than you think, and I think if you just came and danced and sang, you would have a really fun and awesome time.” With that being said, make sure to keep up with local events around town, Ripon High!
