Ripon High’s 2014 Homecoming court did not disappoint! Friday October 10, 2014 the long of wait for seniors, and the entire school, was finally over.
This years court consisted of Emma Lewis, Brent White, Zaire Davis, TJ Hobbs, Matthew Kaiser, Jaqui Uecker, Nick Sharp, Darian Van Der Maaten, Emily O’Brien, and Ryan Fugit. Elections reflected greatly on the great students Ripon has to offer.
Competitions to earn the student body votes consisted of dances on Monday, and Skits and Speeches on Tuesday. This years king was crowned at half time of the powder puff game and the queen will be announced at half time of the highly anticipated Homecoming game against Riverbank.
Zaire Davis stated, “It’s an honor just to be nominated, and no matter the outcome, I’m happy to be a part of a school that made me who I am today!”
“It’s a huge honor because looking back at all the people who were nominated in the past, the people on court were those who have shown great pride in the school and have been very positive, encouraging and well-rounded people. Being selected to represent the school and to be among all the great people who have been in this position is unreal and thrilling,” said Emma Lewis, one of our 2014 candidates.
Needless to say, however the votes sway, Ripon High’s 2014 King and Queen will be truly great faces of this years senior class.
