The Ripon High Indians matched the Manteca High Buffaloes in a volleyball game on August 29, 2017, which took place at Ripon High School.
With the freshman Ripon Indians winning the last two games out of the three, it was the only win Ripon could pull out that day. The Manteca Buffaloes took the wins when it came to JV and varsity.
The first varsity match ended with a close score of 25-20. As the Indian’s came into the next game determined, they were defeated once again with a score of 25-11. Manteca Buffaloes ended this game by closing the last match with another close score of 25-20.
For the seniors playing varsity for both schools, it is bitter sweet.
“I’m really going to miss this team when the season’s over. I’ve gotten really close to these girls and coaches already and it’s going to be really hard not being able to play with them another year.” according to Jessica Stanley Ripon High Schools #8.
With the season just starting, both teams are hoping for a positive outcome this season
Janessa Inderbitzin ends the interview saying, “We felt as though we played better than monday night, but we agreed it wasn’t to our best abilities yet. Our goal right now is to improve every single game”
