On October 13, at the Varsity Football game, the cheerleaders were not allowed to perform due to Mountain House’s lack of communication.

Proximate about 14 minutes before halftime, Coach Vasché, was told that the cheerleaders were not allowed to perform because it was Mt. House’ Senior Night.

She fought her hardest to tried to get them to perform calling people, going back and forth to the opposing team’s director, but it did not turn out so well. In CIF’s handbook it is okay for cheerleaders not to perform if there was an event held at the game, so it was excused.

After announcing the seniors, there was still six minutes left on the clock and the RHS cheerleaders only had a minute and half routine.

The lack of communication made it all unfair to the cheerleaders who have been practicing this routine for over one week, working there hardest.

The new routine had not been performed yet in front of the crowd.

Senior, Cyanne MccKibben, says “It was unfair not to be told in advance because instead of working on that routine, we could have been working on the Halloween routine. “

The lack of communication showed when Moutain House prior to the game had not told Ripon High cheerleaders.

Cheerleader coach, Mrs. Vashce, says “What resulted was CIF, held a meeting and told the A.D.’S they needed to communicate and talk to the coaches prior to events. “
