Hilmar vs Ripon Jv & Varsity Volleyball Game
On Tuesday, Oct. 17, Ripon’s volleyball teams played against Hilmar for the second time this season, at Ripon High.
The freshman team beat Hilmar in three games, winning the first and losing the second to a close score and taking them in the third.
On the other hand the JV lost to Hilmar in two games. During their matches there were long rally’s between each point, the loss of each rally being crucial to the defeat to Hilmar.
JV lost the last time they played Hilmar at Hilmar losing in three games instead of two.
Hilmar swept Ripon’s Varsity in three games out of five.
The first game was 25-17 Hilmar, the second second game Hilmar beating them with a score of 25-15. The third game was slightly closer but Hilmar took it in the end 25-18.
Jessica Stanley, a senior at Ripon High mentioned that their team still continues to work hard.
“Even though it was a rough loss, we’re still going to keep pushing and fighting to hopefully get second place in league. We’re working hard in practices to help seal the deal.”
