Red Ribbon Week kicked off at Ripon High School on Monday, October 28 and came to an end today, November 1. Drug safety is the theme for the event. Many students wore the red bracelet around their wrist, proudly stating, “Proud to be Drug Free! in Ripon, California” and it was sponsored by Ripon Lion’s Club.
Drug safety is an especially important topic for high school students since teenage years are when most people decide to experiment with them. This week is meant to remind the students of how serious and harmful doing drugs is.
Although the week has come to an end, always remember “Hugs not drugs!” or if you hate hugs, then just remember “Don’t do drugs.”
