Boys volleyball vs Mountain House
Last Thursday Ripon High boys volleyball team played a home conference game against Mountain House High School. The game went into four sets out of five.
Mountain House won the first set to a close score of 25-21. The second set was also taken by Mountain House, 25-17.
Ripon High took the third match, 25-18, bringing the game to another set. But besides Ripon’s comeback, Mountain House won the fourth set 25-16, taking the game.
Ripon’s boys’ team has a league record of 1-3, winning only one game against Ceres. This is Ripon High’s first year adding boys volleyball to the school. Most of the boys have never played competitively before, making this a new experience for almost all of them.
Bodie Benson a player on the boys’ volleyball team said, “I played in sober grad two years ago, but this is my first time on an actual team,” The boys know that their success rate is low, but that they have a lot of fun playing and laughing on the court.
“Me and the guys have a lot of laughs it’s fun,” he said.
