Small Town; Small Cakes

Some of the many delicious flavors that Small Cakes has to offer!

Ripon recently received a new addition to its abundance of local business and citizens seem to be enjoying what it has to offer. Small Cakes does a great job of contributing to that “small-town vibe” that Riponites are so used to.

Upon entering the shop on its opening day, I could tell that Small Cakes was an extremely wholesome and family-like business. The owner working knew almost everyone that walked in the door and greeted them all like an old friend. Every person working that day was very polite and professional.

Along with the home-like environment in Small Cakes, the decor inside was very nice. The marble tables and the pink walls all tied together to create a very clean and young space where families and friends can come to enjoy the delicious desserts that they have to offer.

Small Cakes offers many different flavors of cupcakes including: Wedding Cake, Pink Chocolate, Birthday Cake, Sundae, Lemon, and many more. My personal favorite was the Pink Chocolate (Chocolate cake with pink frosting), but every flavor I tried was incredibly delicious. The cupcakes were extremely flavorful and presented beautifully.

As compared to other cake places such as Nothing Bundt’ Cakes, Small Cakes is able to create more of a small town, local environment. Like Nothing Bundt’ Cakes, it offers many different flavors and they both have relatively similar prices; a cupcake being $3.75 a piece and a Bundlet (a miniature bundt cake) being $4.29 each. Bundtini’s can be purchased at Nothing Bundt Cakes for $19.50/dozen.

Along with cupcakes, Small Cakes also serves an assortment of beverages and ice cream.

Small Cakes offers a great environment for the citizens of Ripon and a wonderful place for people to go to get cupcakes for an event or party. I would definitely recommend Small Cakes to everyone because whether they are just stopping in after going out to dinner or ordering a bunch of cupcakes for an event, it is a great, local place to help support. Not to mention, the cupcakes are DELICIOUS!
