Review: Johnson and Johnson 7 Minute Workout App

I assumed this app would be your generic, hard-to-function, typical fitness app, but I was wrong and was pleasantly surprised by the results.

When I think of going to the gym, I think of an overwhelming amount of exercise equipment, weird smells, and a whole lot of sweaty people. We all know those typical types of people who go to the gym. There’s the profuse sweat drippers, the grunters, the die-hards, the gearaholics, and even the selfie kinds/ queens. Let’s just say, I’m not a fan of the gym.

When I heard of this 7-Minute App, my expectations weren’t too high as I didn’t think it was possible to get enough work done in just 7 minutes. But since I needed a short exercise and didn’t want to be at the gym, I decided to give it a try.

My first impression of the app was how easy it was to access everything. It’s simple and there’s not too many steps to get yourself started. One of the first things that the app will check is your difficulty level and what types of exercises best suite you. The levels range from easy to hard and every level has different types of exercises that correlate with the difficulty.

Before starting your workout, the app will give you an optional 2-minute warm-up just to get you started. After the workout, they again give you an optional 2-minute cool-down that stretches the muscles you exercised during that workout.

The app has a total of 72 workouts to choose from based off of your difficulty and no equipment is needed for any of the exercises.

This app also has an individual on the screen who does the workout just as you do, and even a bit slower so that you can go at your own pace. The person is also there to guide you and make sure that you are doing the exercises correctly.

Between every exercise, there is a 5-second break and between every workout, there is a 10-second break. These breaks are put there to allow you to rest and they even tell you what exercise is coming next.

The automated voice in the background will help you with exercises and continually reminds you to breathe and relax.

Compared to a noisy and busy gym, this app allows you to be in your own home, relax, and even get a better workout in a shorter amount of time.

One of the benefits from this app that I specifically enjoy is how easy it is to play music straight from the app. In the middle of screen there is a circle of red dots and with a simple swipe to the right, you can automatically play your music.

Some people might be wondering: Why should I choose this app when there’s such a wide variety of other workout apps to try? Along with the Johnson & Johnson app, I also tried the 7-minute workout app by Quick and Effective as well as the 7-minute workout app by Fast Builder Limited.

When comparing the other two apps to the Johnson & Johnson app, I was somewhat disappointed. Unlike the Johnson & Johnson app, the Fast Builder Limited app automatically asked for a specific amount of money per month before I could even enter the app and the Quick and Effective app could not play your music out of the app.

Unlike the Fast Builder Limited, the Johnson & Johnson is completely free to use and unlike the Quick and Effective app, the Johnson & Johnson is easy to access your choice of music.

My experience with this app was overwhelming positive and had no negative aspects. After using this app for just a couple days, I could feel that the exercise routine was becoming a daily habit.

I highly recommend this app for individuals whether they’re trying to get fit, strong, or simply stay active. This app works off of your needs as well as your abilities and continues to encourage you to stay healthy.

Many fitness apps over-complicate the process of exercising, but this app makes it simple while training you to become your best, and it even just takes 7 minutes.
