Matthew Tharakan is a junior beginning his first year at Ripon High School. His primary goal for the school year is to maintain strong academic performance while keeping the student body informed about important events at RHS. Matthew aspires to attend a prestigious medical school and pursue a career as a physician, a dream he has held since sixth grade. Beyond journalism, he is a devoted tennis player and participates in the sport as an extracurricular activity. In his free time, Matthew enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing the piano, and exploring new foods. He hopes to apply the skills he develops through journalism to support his long term ambitions in the medical field.
