RHS Cheerleaders rock the house

Ripon High’s annual black light rally hosted on August 22, was certainly one to remember. With new incoming freshmen and excited returning seniors, this rally effectively hyped up every class level. The rally was kicked off by an astonishing entrance by the seniors, after running into the gym and celebrating their high school journey under the balloon arch with everyone cheering. This was the perfect way to pump up the school and welcome them back after a fun summer vacation.

After everyone was seated, our rally commissioners did our annual hype check, with the Seniors being the clear winners. This was followed by a wonderful routine by our very own cheerleading team. Their dance was exciting and well practiced, demonstrating their expertise.

Then, Heaven Elisary, Jaydin Kroutil and Mackenzie Loechler announced the team captains of all the current sports, such as volleyball, water polo, golf, cheerleading, and eSports, along with others. After this, two members from every grade level put on a mini fashion show, and demonstrated example outfits for everyday of the week. Each pair walked along the red carpet and struck a pose for our school photographers. The rally day theme was Block R sports or freshmen class color yellow. Tuesday is multicultural day or sophomore class color green, Wednesday is military day or junior class color orange, followed by Thursday with FFA professional wear or senior class color blue. Friday will be our standard red and white day, or neon.

“I thought the rally was tons of fun and a lot of effort went into it,” states Danika Escola, Sophomore.

Before it was all said and done, music teacher Geoffrey Felver and his choir team then lead the school in the Ripon High Hymn. Overall, this year’s annual black light rally was one that will not be soon forgotten. Every aspect of the rally screamed that this year would be a memorable and exciting one, for every grade level. Welcome back Ripon High, and have a great year!
