Tee-riffic Start For Girls Golf

The Golf team is off to a great start, with only a few people actually on the team. In the latest tournament, they placed 4th overall which is great! Out of the 3 matches they have played, they remain undefeated. During the tournament Gabby Ilardi, the captain of the team placed 4th out of all of the competitors and shot an amazing 71. They are also coming off of a great winning season after winning sections last year.

Quote from Gabby Ilardi, “Our team won all the matches we played in and then we got 4th in the tournament we played in, and then I placed 1st individually in the matches,” showing great talent from the team captain. The team has a rigorous practice schedule, practicing every day of the school week but Friday they have off. Each practice is around 90 minutes long. Some advice from the captain is, “I just tell the girls that even though we are out there for fun, it is always better when we win,” so trying to keep it positive, the girls always try to win.

This Thursday the Girls face off against Argonaut High School, this match is a part of their TVL season so it is a big deal. Hopefully, the team can continue to win to keep their undefeated record. Good luck with the rest of the season!
