Ripon Destroys The Undefeated
After starting the season 0-2, the Indians have bounced back winning their last two games. The Indians faced the Modesto Christian Crusaders (4-0) crushing them 54-19. This is the first TVL contest of the year.
Ripon came out firing like a rocket scoring 26 points in the first half of play. The running attack for the Indians was too much for the Crusaders and their defense to handle led by senior running backs Aiden Krupa, Trent Vink, Adam Johnston, Carson Daley, junior Xzavier Clark and sophomore Anden Ries.
“We came in just knowing they are a good team and we came in ready to hit and win that game. We had to find their weakness and keep running at their weakness,” Ries states.
Going into halftime, Ripon was dominating the whole first half being up 26-7, and nothing changed after halftime. Ripon came out and shut out Modesto Christian outsourcing the Crusader 28-12. Ries, Clark, Johnston, Vink and Krupa all contributed to the dominance of the second half with touchdowns to finish the game.
“The best thing about football is it’s really self motivation, Kids motivate themselves a lot of the times, rise to the challenge and expect and hope they rise to the challenge,” coach Cole Williams states.
