Remembering the fond memories of our senior girls golf. This year’s seniors are Gabbi Ilardi and Vivian Parsons, who will soon be leaving the golf program. These talented girls have played golf since their freshman year of high school.

On Oct. 14, they were recognized for their hard work and love that they had for this sport during their 4 years of playing. Ilardi and Parsons’ parents created a poster that displayed pictures of them throughout their seasons. They were given these posters along with a basket that their wonderful teammates made them with a lot of treats and necessities. Their coaches Eric Dambrosio and Wes Van Vuren brought them pumpkins. Sadly, their match was canceled but the girls still had their fun but the girls sure didn’t let that ruin their senior night. They played 9 holes and each hole had a challenge in it. Gabbi and Vivian played on the same team which made the last match very memorable.

Vivian Parsons states,  “Don’t get stressed out just have fun, you’re meant to have fun, so just try your best and that’s pretty much what others expect from you.”

Gabbi Ilhardi, captain of girls golf, is a Sac-Joaquin Section champion for the second time. She was a three-peated MVP. Gabbi also placed low medalist with a 74 in the league final. In Swenson, Ilardi put on an amazing game for the crowd and ended up carding 3-under 71 at the section event. Her junior year Gabbi shot a 79 in Masters and an 84 her freshman year.

”Never give up because you have to be super patient with golf,” says Ilhardi. “ It’s super hard at first but if you could just record your little successes it’ll make it a lot easier to keep going,” she advises.
