Hey RHS! You may have noticed that on Thursday, Feb, 23, there were an assortment of cars and trucks outside of the North Gym at lunch. This is because last week was national FFA week! FFA members Dawson Donich and Jaycee Wilmshurst held a Car and Truck show for any students to participate in. There were a number of categories that students could enter in, some of which were, mom car, vintage, most miles, newest, biggest, smallest, and much more. Each car and truck were judged  according to the category they were entered in.

The Car and Truck Show was held for students so that they could have something fun and exciting to participate in. Students could also learn and become more interested in FFA. Around 15 cars and trucks were entered into the competition. All the cars and trucks were judged by the judges, Mrs. Paris, Mr. Derrick, and Mr. Francis.

The winners for the categories, biggest and smallest were Dilawar Singh for the biggest and Brett Phelps for the smallest.

For junker and most miles, the winners were, Manuel Cortez, junker and Brett Phelps, most miles.

For cleanest and dirtiest, Jaycee Wilmshurst, cleanest and Colton Morino, dirtiest were the winners.

The winners for mom car, vintage, and sports/muscle were Will Tarasoff, mom car, Austin Wood, vintage, and Brayden Nickison, sports/muscle.

After the competition ended, there was a BBQ for FFA students and teachers in which everyone could get together and celebrate the event.
