For months the small town of Ripon has been hoping for rain to help end a terrible drought. But maybe pedestrian have asked for more than they could handle.
For the past few days, it has rained so much in the little town that water maines have been backed up causing floods in the streets, parks, and even the highschool parking lot where students were told to evacuate their vehicles from.
One such student, Tayler Smith had her car blocked by water all the way up to the window on one side. “They said we should pray for rain” Smith said jokingly, “But maybe we prayed too hard”. It is expected to rain more this upcomng week, but not severe enough to cause more immense floods.
